1. Acquiring knowledge and testing your own knowledge…

For those who haven’t played the game yet ( Canadian Beta Only), based on the popular NBC show created by Endemol, also creators of fear factor. You can play as the One, as The Mob or as The Crowd. Only The One and The Mob are eligible to win prizes but with the addition of the crowd everyone can still have fun. So basically the game pits one person against 100 others for a chance to win a large cash prize (in this case anything at the disclosure of Microsoft and the sponsors). OK now that is over…Every now or then you like learn stuff well at least I hope so, with the variety of question this game asks there is something for everyone whether it is a question about a famous new flick that hit the silver screen or about a new researched scientific fact. Gaining Knowledge and testing knowledge are the keywords here.

2.Fun for everyone..

Everyone likes trivia unless you know nothing. Young people like it old people like. If it wouldn’t have been fun I wouldn’t be writing this to initiate other people to play it when its available in their country, if fun wouldn’t matter 16,000 people from Canada wouldn’t be playing the game 10pm eastern in a Monday night instead of watching some PrimTime TV. A good argument for games vs TV and other sources of medias has been, your always in it versus just sitting there and watching. Two different types of entertainment it depends whats your cup of tea.

3. You can play with everyone…

Whether your an adult with kids , or someone with friends everyone can join in the fun. With the questions coming from a bunch of different fields it be a good idea having lots of people in the living room helping out or having a party online to help out each other. When your playing a competitive shooter on the pc or console and your mom or wife gives you an advice i don’t think you would take it very seriously what would she know about the counterstrike bunny hop. But when your playing 1 vs 100 there is no need for hardcore gaming skills, your wife, mom or even your grandpa could be better then you. So ya everyone can join in sense you don’t need time in the game to get better the answers are known by your knowledge or others.

4. Rewarding..games are rewarding , tv shows aren’t.

That’s why people have more chance of getting addicted to gaming easily , i.e leveling your character on a game or just unlocking everything else your doing everything instead of watching someone else do it you can get addicted. But this isn’t the point here, while watching someone win who wants to be a millionaire might a be a cool moment winning it yourself tops that (I’m pretty sure). In this which will have live shows weekly you have better chance around the world ( depending where this will be available) cause not everyone can go to LA to the studios. Winning the sweepstakes and other prizes which are very accessible if your good at this.

5. Fair play…

There will be another mode called extended play which is a good way to boast your points so you have a better chance of being the mob or being the one. But all the points are restarted each week so it will not be always the same people who get in the mob. Giving chances to people who haven’t had time to play extended play.

Hopefully I convinced you to try this out at least once.

Yes, the game is free the only thing you need is a xbox live gold membership. It is only available on the xbox 360 and will come out sometime this year. The canadian beta is open till the 31 may.
