in Windows

With the release of Vista, people soon started realizing that Vista was more or less a visual mutant of Windows XP, rather than an innovative increment over Windows XP. But with the release of Windows 7 beta, and after many people having tested it, and reviewed it, it seems, times are going to change. Although, in the beta version; there seems to be absolutely no reason or excuse why you shouldn’t be laying a hand on it. Let’s look at 7 prominent reasons why you should switch to windows 7.

Reason 1:

Without any hype, with simple words, it’s this: The complete installation of Windows 7 is a fun ride and very fast. If you are questioning about the time that might be required for a complete install of Windows 7, its not more than 15 minutes. Talk about the booting time, its way lesser than compared to Windows XP and Vista. And if you talk about the User Interface, it’s an eye candy. With multiple glow effects and sliding transitions, Windows 7 is definitely a different experience.

Reason 2:

What have we been praying all along with the different versions of Windows XPs has turned into reality in Windows 7. It’s an option to remove Internet Explorer. In none of the Windows flavor do you get the choice of removing Internet Explorer. But in Windows 7 you can do so, if your choice of explorer starts with something other than ‘I’, say ‘M’.

Reason 3:

You can observe the various upgrades to the software; that were never touched before this time. I’m talking about Calculator, Word pad and Paint. In none of the Windows version these software were touched, but in Windows 7, it has been greatly improved.

Reason 4:

When we are talking about installing new programs or hardware, there can’t be anything better than Windows 7. Windows 7 has improved upon the support it used to provide for programs and drivers. All you need to do is, let the OS connect to Internet, and do its job of searching for the drivers and updating it.

Reason 5:

The best thing in Windows 7 is, if at all you have become emotionally and physically attached to Windows XP, Win 7 has solution for that too. It provides Virtual XP mode, where in you can run the Virtual XP, and all those software which work better in it. It also helps those who are little reluctant towards switching to 7.

Reason 6:

Better effects and looks when it comes to aero features. New things have been added, to make Windows 7 look different. New aero like, Aero shake, aero snap and aero peek have been added. These come in handy when you are doing the task of window to window file transfer or comparison.

Reason 7:

The major reason and the most important one which should make you switch over to Windows 7 is the number of background processes and the memory it occupies. Although Windows 7 is in still beta, which suggests that its optimization is still under process and watch, it performs bullet fast when installed and run; to speak straight forward, there are not more than 6 background process which clutter your task manager, which takes less than 500mb memory; which happens to be a great leap over vista.

Everything said and discussed, it is for sure that Windows 7 is greatly optimized towards performance. And yes, it has lived up to it. So, when are you switching to windows 7?
