Graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. The graphic design process starts with the customers need for a brochure, logo etc.

1. Know your client’s needs.

You should familiarize yourself with the client’s products and services and what type of image can go with the product. You can ask the client to describe the products and services from where you can deduce the type of image needed. You need to understand the industry in which the client is operating in. Research carefully and find about the clients competitors and the audience to which the website is to be addressed to.

2. Customize your image to the audience.

Now that the client has given you the image you should focus on the audience who will ultimately gauge the relevance of the image. What type of audience will the image be targeted to? Which industry, age or gender. How will the graphic design be used? Is it a point of sale website? How often will the site be updated.

3. Message communication

The image must communicate to the customers’ information about the company. The company’s brand should be conveyed from the graphic design.

4.Analysis.

After the information is collected and analyzed it should be distilled into a core set of data.Afer a day or so the information should be reviewed again as it inspires new thoughts and ideas.
Concept development.

Creativity is progressive by nature and often new ideas inspire even newer ones. As the initial images and text develop adjustments should be made to come up with a high quality work. Of course the graphic design process itself has no endpoint and it is important to know when to stop.

5.Execution.

When the concept has been developed the final production may now begin. The copy should go through fact checking and proof reading, high resolution images are placed and any adjustments to color and layout are made. You should pay particular attention to detail. Of course ultimately you must give a strong solution to the problem intended to be solved.
Recently the design field has been plagued by uniformity and creative designers are among the sought after professionals.

6.Use of sun rays.

This is one of the most used techniques in graphic design and it involves using rays of light tucked away in the background or forefront of your design.

This was most commonly used by the ipod campaign and it has now taken root everywhere.
Ink splatter.

The ink splatters are found almost everywhere. They do add a trendy look to a design but they should be used in moderation as the web page can become quite cluttered and untidy.

Ornaments make the design look organic and fresh and they are quite trendy at the moment especially with the environmental awareness nowadays.

9.Flowing lines.

Flowing lines add motion to and fluidity to a design and gives it a certain emotion.
